Congratulations to the Y11 girls who have regained their County Champions’ status. The group games were all won quite convincingly 20 – 2, 20 – 1, 16 – 6, 11 – 4 against The Academy, Weobley, Lucton and Whitecross respectively. An amazing amount of goals considering the games were only 12 minutes long. The netball was fast paced and enthralling to watch! JMHS then faced Cathedral in the semi-final, they were victorious with a 12 – 2 win and progressed to the final against St. Mary’s. Due to the fading light the final was played indoors, this only made the atmosphere more intense. The girls played with passion and grit until the end and came out on top 9 – 4, County Champions!
All of the team conducted themselves as outstanding sportswomen showing respect and sportsmanship to all teams, umpires and staff – A very proud occasion for all involved and JMHS.
