  • Students celebrate strong A Level results at John Masefield Sixth Form

    Students at John Masefield Sixth Form are celebrating a strong set of A Level results, with many achieving excellent grades and preparing to take their next steps into university, apprenticeships or employment.

    Some of our highest performing students include:

    • Jack Sharpe – A*A*A*
    • Chloe Chapman – A*A*A
    • Hannah Lumb – A*AAA
    • Layla Crickett – A*AA
    • Jack Woolsey – AAA

    Overall, 12% of all A Level grades achieved were A*, while more than a quarter of all grades were A* or A, which highlights the high level of achievement across the cohort.

    There were particularly strong performances in a range of subjects:

    • Fine Art – 40% of students achieved A*, with 60% achieving A* or A
    • Photography – 25% of students achieved A*
    • Mathematics – 60% of students achieved A* or A
    • Chemistry – 50% of students achieved A* or A
    • IT – 67% of students achieved a Distinction*
    • Geography – 75% of students achieved grade B or above
