The MFL department has had a busy summer with near back-to-back trips relaying from the UK to France and Germany. Here's a selection of photos from our Year 8 trip to Normandy, Year 10 trip to Paris and our Year 9 trip to Germany.






Hot off the press, our next whole school production will be Sister Act: The Musical. Auditions are taking place from 2 July 2026 to 8 July 2026 - full details below.
The Sixth Form are raising funds for Midlands Air Ambulance. Please support us in the 3rd Annual 10k Ledder run and walk to raise funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.
The recent production of Shrek the Musical at John Masefield High School was a true celebration of talent, teamwork, and dedication. From the first rehearsal to the final curtain call, students poured an incredible amount of hard work into bringing this much-loved show to life — and their efforts paid off in a performance that was both entertaining and deeply impressive.
In March, our two school robotics teams competed in a regional FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competition called DECODE, joining teams from across the region for a full day of engineering, coding and competitive robotics.
FIRST Tech Challenge is an international robotics programme where students design, build and program robots to compete head-to-head in a themed game released each year. Teams must develop their own robot designs, write code to control them and continually refine their engineering throughout the season.
Following the outstanding success of last year’s production of Oliver! the Musical, John Masefield High School is thrilled to announce its next theatrical event — and a milestone for the school — with its first-ever production of Shrek the Musical.
