We were delighted today to welcome the author Stewart Foster to JMHS.
Stewart held an assembly for our Y7 and 8 students where he discussed his inspiration for writing and his books Bubble Boy and All the Things That Can Go Wrong.
He then held 2 workshops in the school library where students practised their creative writing, students were given the option to apply for these workshops during the past few weeks and Stewart was incredibly impressed with the imaginative and descriptive writing the students produced.
Having authors visit our students is a vital way of promoting reading for pleasure which is very important to us here at JMHS, thank you to the Tesco Bags of Help Scheme which helped fund this event and thank you to Stewart for being so inspirational.
