John Masefield High School, a single academy trust
JMHS is an academy trust: a charitable company, limited by guarantee, and an independent legal entity. The principal activity of this trust is the provision of public benefit education by maintaining, managing and developing an 11-18 year comprehensive school offering a broad and balanced curriculum. As the Trust only has one school, it is a single-academy trust, or SAT.
Our trustees
The Board of Trustees oversees the running of the school and determines its strategic direction. The Board is made up of volunteers from across the community, including parents, bringing a wide range of skills, experience and perspectives to their roles. The Board works closely with the Headteacher and staff, providing both support and challenge, to ensure all members of the community learn and thrive. The Board does this by:
