Enrichment and extra-curricular clubs play a vital role in life at our school, offering pupils a wide range of opportunities to explore interests, develop new skills and build confidence beyond the classroom. Our programme includes an exciting variety of activities such as sports clubs, art, drama and music, alongside creative and practical options like textiles and enterprise. Academic support is also available through homework club, ensuring every student can find something that supports both their learning and personal growth. Whether pupils are discovering a new passion, strengthening friendships or challenging themselves in new ways, our enrichment clubs encourage creativity, teamwork and a love of learning that extends well beyond the school day.
The Summer Term Enrichment Programme will begin the week commencing Monday 16 April 2026. This programme offers a range of exciting opportunities for your child to participate in clubs and activities outside of their usual timetable.
If your child would like to take part, please sign them up via MCAS. A step-by-step guide for registering your child is linked below. Club registration opens at 12pm on Wednesday 1 April. Some clubs have limited space and will be allocated on a first come first-served basis.
Clubs will run from Monday 13 April 2026 to Friday 10 July 2026.
Most after-school clubs and activities will finish at 4:25pm.
School trips are a valued and exciting part of life at our school, offering students the chance to extend their learning beyond the classroom and experience the wider world first-hand. From residential and international visits to enriching local day trips, our programme is designed to inspire curiosity, independence and confidence. Highlights include the Year 7 PGL outward bound residential, which builds teamwork and resilience, and memorable overseas opportunities such as trips to Normandy in France, as well as trips to Cologne, Paris and CERN. Our PE department also organise a ski trip to Italy. Closer to home, students enjoy a variety of educational day visits to places such as Ludlow Castle, Worcester Town, Gloucester Quays and the Three Counties Show. These experiences bring learning to life, deepen cultural understanding and create lasting memories for our students.
Sports fixtures are an important and exciting part of school life, giving students the opportunity to represent the school, develop teamwork and enjoy healthy competition. We offer a wide and inclusive range of competitive sports throughout the year, including netball, hockey, football, rugby, badminton, rounders, cricket, athletics and cross country, with many more opportunities available. Taking part in fixtures helps students build confidence, resilience and sportsmanship, while fostering a strong sense of pride and commitment to their teams. We also have a parent-led equestrian and shooting team who compete in regional and national competitions. Whether competing locally or further afield, our sports fixtures encourage participation, personal achievement and a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity.
School productions and performing arts events are a vibrant and much-loved part of life at our school, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, confidence and talent. From the Key Stage 3 pantomime, which introduces younger students to the excitement of performing on stage, to the whole-school production involving students from Years 7 to 13, there are opportunities for everyone to take part, both on stage and behind the scenes. Our performing arts programme is further enriched by Open Mic Nights, Gala evenings and regular music concerts, held both in our school grounds and at St Michael’s Church, offering students the chance to perform in a range of inspiring settings. Together, these events celebrate music, drama and performance, helping students develop self-expression, teamwork and confidence while creating memorable experiences for performers and audiences alike.
