We are pleased to invite all JMHS parents and children to attend the John Masefield High School and Sixth Form Centre’s Annual Careers Fair, taking place on: Tuesday 16 September 2025, 4:30pm – 6:30pm in the school’s Sports Hall.
This event is open to all students from Year 7 to Year 13 and is a key opportunity for young people to begin or continue exploring the many routes available to them in the world beyond school. Whether your child is thinking about university, college, apprenticeships, or entering the workplace, the Careers Fair provides a valuable chance to:
- Speak directly to representatives from universities, colleges, training providers, and a wide range of employers
- Discover more about career pathways, qualifications, and future job opportunities
- Ask questions about entry requirements, career progression, and what different roles involve day-to-day
- Be inspired by the possibilities and start making informed decisions about future steps
It is never too early for students to begin thinking about their aspirations. For younger students (Years 7–9), the event will offer inspiration and help them understand how subjects and skills relate to real careers. For older students (Years 10–13), it supports more focused decision-making around GCSEs, A levels, university applications, apprenticeships, and employment.
Staff will be available throughout the evening to offer guidance and answer any questions you or your child may have.
We strongly encourage all students and their families to attend and take full advantage of this important opportunity. Your support in helping your child explore their future is invaluable, and we look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a highly informative and inspiring evening.
