Y13 student Ben Mowbray won the Musical Theatre category on Wednesday 20 April at the Hereford Performing Arts Festival singing a solo version of ‘Master of the House’ from Les Miserables where he scored an impressive 99/100. He got great feedback from the judges and was invited to sing at the Gala night on Saturday.
This Award tops another great year for Ben to acknowledge his amazing talent and hard work. In December, Ben organised, fundraised directed, produced and starred in the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ . This production was run solely by Sixth Form students with support from the Performing Arts faculty. The one night show was a resounding success and played to a packed auditorium. Playing the Psycho dentist come-boyfriend in this edgy comedy, Ben was ably supported by a small cast of Sixth Form students. A marvellous venture and a testament to the hard work and talent in our Sixth Form.
