A selection of our Year 12 Business Studies students attended Aston University Business School taster day. The day consisted of a business workshop where by our students had to put ‘The Six Thinking Hats’ theory into practice by trying to promote camouflage golf balls. (Perhaps not the most useful product out there!)
This was followed by a tour of the campus and its state-of-the-art facilities. Our students were particularly interested by the sporting facilities and the sleep pods in the library.
After this, we met several student ambassadors, who gave us a talk about student life and the variety of courses on offer. It was exciting to learn that all of the courses there at Aston offer a year placement in industry and the university has very close links with BMW and Jaguar Land Rover.
