Covid guidance for students from 1 April

Updated guidance from the DfE regarding changes to measures for managing Covid in schools has now been received. From 1 April:• Routine Covid testing will not be available. Students should not test routinely or if they are unwell.• Students who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people where they can. They are permitted to return to school when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough to attend.Students who currently have a positive Covid result:• For those students with a positive Covid result, they should stay at home and try and avoid contact with other people for 3 days. If they are well enough and no longer have a temperature after 3 days they may return to school. We will continue to ensure spaces are well-ventilated and encourage good hygiene practices such as handwashing and cleaning. Students may of course continue to wear a face-covering if they choose to.If you have any queries about these new rules, please contact us using admin@jmhs.hereford.sch.uk.
