Everybody has times of need where good support is crucial and never more so in the two years students spend in the Sixth Form.

Here at JM6 we have a strong pastoral team, with regular 1-1 tutor mentor sessions during morning tutor time; a weekly confidential drop-in session with Nurse; a dedicated Sixth Form team as well our own Pastoral Lead Mrs Crickett, who is at hand to talk to, give advice and make any necessary referrals.

We believe in a holistic approach – good mental health enables good academic success.  In addition to our in-house team we have external support from Briony our school nurse who is available for a confidential Sixth Form drop service on a Tuesday morning.

We are also fortunate to be able to refer to WEST (Wellbeing Emotional Support Team) who are in school on a Tuesday or CLD Counselling who are in school on a Wednesday and Thursday.

The Sixth Form team are always available to assist and support, but of course the following external organisations offer good support for young people:
