Former JM student is Turner prize winner

turner-prize-winners-assembleWe are used to hearing success stories from our Alumni but the achievement of ex-student Adam Willis deserves particular attention. Adam went on to study Architecture at Queen’s College, Cambridge after achieving straight A grades in his four A Levels at John Masefield Sixth Form. His vibrant art work still graces the Sixth Form common room and this year he was part of a collective of Architects who were awarded the prestigious ‘Turner Prize’ award for contemporary art. Adam is one of the members of ‘Assemble’, a London-based collective who work across the fields of art, design and architecture to create projects in tandem with the communities who use and inhabit them. It is inspirational to hear of Adam’s incredible success.
