Year 11 students, and staff at John Masefield High School celebrated strong results in their GCSE examinations this morning. Staff are immensely proud of students who have worked hard to achieve excellent results.
Over 10% of the grades achieved were at the top grades of 8 or 9, with over 70% of entries in English, mathematics and sciences at a grade 4 or above.
Particularly strong subjects included German, food and nutrition, chemistry and physics where over a quarter of students achieved the top grades of a 7, 8 or 9.

Meryl Phillips: Five Grade 9s, three Grade 8s
Daisy Ruddick: Two Grade 9s, six Grade 8s, three Grade 7s
Ben Wilson: Two Grade 9s, five Grade 8s, one Grade 7
Bella Hughes: Two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, two Grade 7s
This is an exceptional achievement for all of these individuals and many other students have worked very hard and achieved the strong grades they deserved.
