John Masefield High School is proud to support the 1916 Commemoration events which will be held on June 25th in Ledbury. A fantastic day has been planned by the committee organisers which will culminate in a Centenary fundraising concert to be held at St Michael’s church where JMHS students will be giving readings and the JMHS Chamber Choir will be singing. There will be a selection of poetry, prose and art on display in the church from JMHS students following a series of competitions.
During a celebration assembly held on the 18th May prizes were awarded to winners by members of the Commemoration Committee. The winners were as follows:
Year 8 poetry competition– Isobel Johnson, Edward Jenkins and Tobias Hamblin
Year 9 prose competition – Megan McRae and Grace Bolton
