Dear parents and carers
As you will be aware, Storm Eunice is looking to cause major disruption with a MET office Amber weather warning in this area. Extremely strong winds in excess of 60mph with gusts up to 80mph are forecast. There is a strong possibility of damage to buildings with flying debris, and an increased risk at JMHS due to it being an open site with old roofs and a significant number of trees. We have also just learnt that Herefordshire Council is suspending its school transport services tomorrow.
Considering this and the safety of students and staff, we have regretfully taken the decision to close the school tomorrow for the final day of half term. Work will be set for students through e-praise.
Please pass this message on to spread the word.
We wish you a safe and restful half term.
With best wishes
Andrew Evans
