Year 11 rugby team had a convincing victory against Whitecross 12-29. Some excellent hard hitting tackles most notably from Adam Jones and Elliot Williams (making his debut), put the home team on the back foot as McCarthy (2), Gilbert (2) and Parker all ran in tries. Mr Kontarines did tell the players at half time that the only way back in the game for Whitecross would be if we lost discipline and conceded penalties, and this was the case in the second half as the opponents scored two late tries.
