Barcelona Day 2

After breakfast we headed down to the port and beach. Passing some mega-yachts on the way, we enjoyed the sun and the beach area, with many hawkers selling cotton throws, mojitos (at 10am!) and offering Thai massages. Only the massages were taken up and apparently were very good. We then got lunch at the Maremagnum shopping center and then headed off to the Montjuic castle. This proved trickier than expected as the funicular railway we had planned to take was closed for the winter and we had to seek alternative modes of transport. However. we finally got there and were rewarded with fabulous views of the city below us, bathed in glorious sunshine. We then headed back into town for dinner and then back to the hostel for bed. Another tiring, but interesting and enjoyable day.
