Bank Holiday for the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II

Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the official date of the State Funeral is Monday 19 September. This day will be a bank holiday and we have been informed by the Department for Education that settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday should close on this day as a mark of respect. As this applies to schools and colleges, JMHS will close on Monday 19 September.

Ledbury Town Council have let us know that Books of Condolence have been opened at St Michael and All Angels Church and the Masters House.  These will be closed at 18:00 on the day after the funeral.  Any floral tributes may be left at St Michael & All Angels Church and/or the Masters House, preferably without plastic wrappings.  There will be a civic service for all members of the local community at St Michael and All Angels Church on the evening of Sunday 18 September.
