Vicki Merker and Lucie Cottam, our Y11 Beacon House Captains, welcomed in the Fundraiser Lead from Birmingham Children’s Hospital on Tuesday 22nd May to present an assembly. Throughout the year Lucie and Vicki, with the support of the house council and volunteers within the house, have organised a range of fundraising events. These events have included the 12 Days of Christmas Raffle (biggest student led raffle at JMHS ever!), very successful cake sales, sporting challenges, and a massive Easter Egg Raffle to name but a few. It was fantastic to welcome in BCH for students and staff to learn about where the money raised will go and the fantastic work they do there. A whopping £807 has been donated by us to support an incredible cause. Thank you Vicki and Lucie and everyone involved!!!
