This Friday students and staff will be supporting an environmental awareness day throughout the school day. We will be:
- Minimising carbon emissions for the day by trying to use less computers, projectors etc.
- Encouraging lift sharing, children walking or going by bus to school.
- Talking about environmental issues in tutor time. Some students will be watching Greta Thunberg’s speech to the United Nations and some one of David Attenborough’s current Seven Continents series and then discussing the issues raised.
- Focusing some lessons on environmental and sustainability issues to raise awareness of the current scientific evidence.
