We are absolutely thrilled to learn that Year 10 JMHS student Jen Arnold was recently selected for the England Pony Club Team which caps off years of tremendous effort on her part. Jen is an excellent student who is doing extremely well and managing to balance keeping up with school work whilst spending many hours cleaning, grooming and working with her pony, Fleur. She is a role model to students and clearly shows what amazing things can be achieved with determination and resilience.
Jen has been riding since the age of 7 but really took to the Pony Club’s Mounted Games competitions from the age of 9, where her passion is matched by her tremendous courage and skill. Jen is no stranger to competing competitively and has been involved in events throughout the country. Despite her experience and determination, it was still nevertheless an incredible achievement to be picked by the judges to represent her country.
Jen’s reward for her hard work is to represent England against the other home nations in front of The Queen at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in July.
We are all incredibly proud of Jen and we will all be cheering for her this summer when doubtless she will continue to fly the flag for JMHS and Herefordshire with great distinction.
